Home Infusion Therapy Advantages
Receiving therapy at home can be an excellent choice for many people. It can be a safe and cost-effective alternative to an extended hospital stay or placement in a rehabilitation facility or nursing home. It can allow patients to maintain their normal daily activities.
Patients and their family members or caregivers can learn to administer home IV antibiotics with training and support from the pharmacist at RCVC as well as skilled home health nurses. RCVC provides in-person individualized training and written material to improve your comfort and ability to complete the prescribed therapy.
What is Home Infusion?
Infusion therapy is when medication is delivered through a needle or catheter into a vein. Home infusion therapy is when a patient receives this therapy outside the hospital or clinical setting. Receiving this care at home rather than in a healthcare facility or other care setting is a more cost-effective option and is referred to as "home infusion therapy".

Rocket City Vital Care (RCVC) provides care for pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients. When RCVC receives your prescription, our clinical team will contact you to explain our patient care process every step of the way. This gives you the important opportunity to ask questions directly to us, and we are available to you 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Rocket City Vital Care accepts all major insurances.
All supplies and equipment necessary for the administration of the prescribed therapy will be provided, and we will communicate with your physician and home health agency to promote continuity of care. We are committed to working with patients to reduce costs whenever possible.

On-Site Ambulatory Infusion Clinic
RCVC offers a conveniently located ambulatory infusion clinic for patients who need specialty medicine infusions or injections. Patients are carefully monitored by specially trained infusion nurses during the infusion. Since these infusions may take a few hours, we provide recliners, HD television, and wireless access for personal devices.
